1. Where is Kuchl? Kuchl is situated in the wide, flat Salzach Valley, 465m above sea level, at the foot of the enormous Göll Massif. It is centrally located, just 25 km away from the world-famous provincial capital Salzburg (hourly bus and train connections). The high-mountain region (Göll, Tennen and Hagen mountain ranges) lies in the west and the south, and a densely wooded low-mountain region and many flat walking and rambling paths can be found in the east. Here you can do it all - from short strolls to high alpine mountain tours. |

| Journey: when travelling on the motorway from Salzburg, take the exit for Kuchl (Exit 22). It is approximately 1 km from the motorway exit to the centre of Kuchl. The Kuchl tourist office can be found on the left at the town's main crossroads. | When coming from the south, take the motorway exit in Golling, then travel through Golling towards Salzburg on the federal highway. After approximately 5 km, you will arrive at Kuchl. The tourist office can be found on the right at the town's main crossroads. |
